Meeting called to order by Ray Miller at 8:05 pm.

Old Business

Approved treasurerís report.(7 0 0).

Approved minutes of last meeting (7 0 0).

 

Olsen discussed new mandatory membership/temporary membership requirements.

 

Bob Weisickle presented cleanup and revisions to the supplemental regulations.Motion by Brown to approve supps.Seconded.Approved (7 0 0)

 

Awards banquet was a success.

 

New Business

Discussion to implement annual technical inspection like SFR does. We will seek permission to do so and will plan to continue to check cars on grid.Motion by Brown to implement annual tech.Seconded.Approved (7 0 0).

 

Ken McCulloch presented the run group rebalancing plan.Motion by Hubbard to accept the proposal.Seconded by Olsen.Approved (7 0 0).

 

Motion by Brown to split ladies run groups out of open run group by 2 groups.Seconded by Miller.Defeated (0 0 7).

 

Discussion of instituting drops in the PAX.††† Many pros and cons.Motion by Olsen to not institute drops in the PAX championship.Seconded.Approved (6 1 0).

 

Brown presented suggestions for modifying street tire PAX factors.Decision to table mainly due to difficulties in integrating different street tire correction factors into our scoring system.

 

Discussed BP PAX.BP PAX is still available based on 80+ cars running BP across the country being tracked by Rick Ruth for PAX purposes.

 

Discussed EZ up repair project.Miller proposed buying 2 new EZ ups instead.

 

Discussed trailer maintenance.Olsen put a tarp on the trailer.Interior was dry.We will continue to use a tarp when the trailer is stored in the rainy season.By doing this we donít have to replace weatherstripping.

 

Decided to change some event start times.Sunday first run group start time will change from 9am to 8am.Third run group will start no earlier than 12 noon instead of 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

 

Discussed event timing for Shriners.Possibilities include: Different start times.Simpler coursesfor fewer DNFs and lower cone counts.Fewer runs.No fun runs.No down time for raffle.Shorter or no lunch break. Note: Millers will be on vacation and will not be at Friday course set up.
